Bobby Kotick is an American businessman and CEO of Activision Blizzard, one of the world’s leading interactive gaming and entertainment firms.

Bobby was born and raised in New York for a better part of his life. The 51-year-old lived in Long Island until he joined college. He is popular among his peers as “Bobby” owing to his good social life and friendliness.

Kotick earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. Since then, he has garnered honors for his efforts at Activision Blizzard, including Harvard Business Review’s 2016 Best Performing CEOs in the World, Vanity Fair’s 2016 New Establishment List, and Adweek’s 2015 Top 100 Media Leaders list.

When he started The Kotick Group LLC as a college student in 1983, he laid the groundwork for the multibillion-dollar corporation (a private investment firm). The Kotick Group oversees the launching of various games under their brand and selling the products of other game developers in North America.

Bobby Kotick has served as CEO of Activision Blizzard since 1991. He is responsible for its overall management, direction, and execution of its strategic vision.

Under Mr. Kotick’s leadership, Activision Blizzard has become one of the world’s leading interactive entertainment companies and a member of the Fortune 500 and S&P 500. With more than 11,000 employees globally, the company develops and publishes games such as Call of Duty®, Crash Bandicoot™, Skylanders®, World of Warcraft®, Overwatch®, Hearthstone®, Diablo®, and Candy Crush™.

Before Activision Blizzard’s merger with Vivendi Games in July 2008, Mr. Kotick was Chairman of Activision, Inc., joining the company in February 1991. From 1982 through 1990, he was employed by The Blackstone Group L.P. as a Managing Director. Before that, Mr. Kotick was used by Drexel Burnham Lambert Incorporated in the corporate finance department.
