Robert Kraft The Chairman And CEO Of The Kraft Group

Robert Kraft is an American entrepreneur who is the chief executive officer and president of the Kraft Group. He was born on June 5th, 1941, in Brookline. His company is a diversified holding company and has invested in sports and entertainment, paper and packaging, a private equity portfolio, and real estate development.

Kraft attended public high school before joining Columbia University through scholarship; he graduated in 1963 and received a chance to join Harvard Business School. He graduated with a master’s degree in Business Administration. He started his first company in 1968, which dealt with the packaging because he knew the importance of forest products in developing the global economy.

Robert Kraft’s first professional career was with the Rand-Whitney Group, the company was dealing with packaging, and it’s owned by Hiatt. He currently serves as the chairman of the company. Robert Kraft went ahead and started another company called International Forest Products in 1972, dealing with the trading of physical paper commodities.

His two companies make up to be the largest privately held paper packaging companies in the United States of America. Robert Kraft played a significant role in 1986 to help minority business groups to be able to acquire WNEV-TV in Boston. He also invested in the entertainment sector by buying many Boston radio stations.

Robert Kraft is well known to be the top fan of the American Football League, and he has been a season ticket holder from the time the team moved to the Schaefer stadium. Robert bought a piece of land adjacent to the stadium in 1985, which enabled him to own the team later. He also bought the stadium from Billy Sullivan, who went through bankruptcy cases. The purchase included the stadium’s leasing option to the patriots giving him the advantage to purchase the team.
